Taytum Stevens
Club director/ 14s Head Coach
I started coaching volleyball during my senior year of high school making this year my 9th year of coaching. I have coached many years of travel club in Central Oregon and Corvallis, OR, I was the 8th grade coach at JCMS, and have been an assistant coach for North Salem High School. I currently am the head coach at Madras High School which has always been a dream of mine. I have a strong passion for the game and see so much value in the lessons athletes learn that translate to their life outside of volleyball. I see so much potential in our athletes in our community and I am excited to give them the opportunity to grow and further their love for the sport. I am lucky and grateful I have the opportunity and support to start this program.

I started playing volleyball in 8th grade and have loved the sport ever since! In high school, I played varsity all four years as an outside hitter, but for club volleyball, I was a middle blocker—my favorite position. I received a full scholarship to play basketball at Hawaii Pacific University, and after my freshman year, I decided to try out for volleyball. The rest is history!
Being a dual-sport athlete in college taught me so much, both athletically and personally. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about sports and their ability to build confidence, personal growth, and lifelong skills.
I love volleyball and the way it brings people together as a team. As a coach, my goal is not only to inspire the same drive, confidence, and competitiveness that were instilled in me but also to show my players how special it is to be part of a team and the joy of being part of something bigger than yourself.
I’m super excited to be a part of Madras Volleyball Club, and I can’t wait to watch it grow and be part of this amazing journey!
